Biography

Abrar is a Medical Doctor and Research Fellow for the VCP. She has a background in epidemiology and control of infectious diseases, public health, laboratory work, and health policy. She holds a Master’s degree in health policy from City, University of London. 

Prior to her MSc, Abrar worked as a medical doctor in Saudi Arabia and Romania. Abrar holds a PhD from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine with the PhD thesis: “Meningococcal vaccination and travel health in Hajj pilgrims – A study of pilgrims to Mecca, Saudi Arabia.” She was also a visiting doctoral researcher in King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.
