The latest data we have for France is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 61% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 68% think they are effective. 68% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 65% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in France has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was high*. 50% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 77% thought they were effective. 83% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
