Vaccine confidence in Indonesia is high* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Indonesia is from surveys conducted in 2024, which showed that 83% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 81% think they are effective. 87% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 69% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Indonesia has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was very high*. 96% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 92% thought they were effective. 97% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
