Vaccine confidence in Iran is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Iran is from surveys conducted in 2018 which showed that 68% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 87% think they are effective. 95% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines.
Confidence in vaccines in Iran has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 70% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 88% thought they were effective. 99% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 76% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
