Vaccine confidence in Cambodia is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Cambodia is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 96% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 96% think they are effective. 96% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 46% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Cambodia has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, 90% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 95% thought they were effective. However, the percentage of respondents who said they believe it is important for children to have vaccines has declined by 4% (from 99% in 2018, to 96% in 2022).
