Vaccine confidence in Republic of Korea is low* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Republic of Korea is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 58% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 68% think they are effective. 62% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 45% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Republic of Korea has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was very high*. 90% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 92% thought they were effective. 95% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
