The latest data we have for Romania is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 59% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 64% think they are effective. 65% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 65% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Romania has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was high*. 74% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 80% thought they were effective. 85% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
