Vaccine confidence in South Sudan is high* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for South Sudan is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 79% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 73% think they are effective. 78% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 71% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in South Sudan has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2022, average vaccine confidence was high*. 77% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 73% thought they were effective. 69% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
