Vaccine confidence in Uganda is very high* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Uganda is from surveys conducted in 2024, which showed that 88% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 87% think they are effective. 93% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines.

Confidence in vaccines in Uganda has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, average vaccine confidence was high*. 69% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 65% thought they were effective. 79% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
