Vaccine confidence in Azerbaijan is low* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Azerbaijan is from surveys conducted in 2019, which showed that 58% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 58% think they are effective. 60% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 44% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Azerbaijan has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was average*. 66% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 68% thought they were effective. 75% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
