The latest data we have for Chile is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 69% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 73% think they are effective. 75% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 54% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Chile has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, average vaccine confidence was high*. 68% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 71% thought they were effective. 81% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
