Vaccine confidence in Colombia is very high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Colombia is from surveys conducted in 2019 which showed that 92% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 92% think they are effective. 97% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 73% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Colombia has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 91% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 94% thought they were effective. 97% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 79% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
