The latest data we have for UK is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 70% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 72% think they are effective. 72% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 70% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in UK has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was high*. 84% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 87% thought they were effective. 90% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
