Vaccine confidence in Latvia is average1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Latvia is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 61% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 64% think they are effective. 59% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 64% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Latvia has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 72% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 77% thought they were effective. 85% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 82% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
