Vaccine confidence in Hong Kong is average* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Hong Kong is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 67% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 71% think they are effective. 71% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 55% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Hong Kong has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was high*. 76% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 81% thought they were effective. 82% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
