Vaccine confidence in Hungary is high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Hungary is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 78% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 81% think they are effective. 74% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 70% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Hungary has declined since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, 91% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 91% thought they were effective. 95% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
