Vaccine confidence in Lithuania is low* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Lithuania is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 54% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 59% think they are effective. 48% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 59% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Lithuania has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, average vaccine confidence was very low*. 40% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 46% thought they were effective. 53% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
