Vaccine confidence in Slovakia is low* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Slovakia is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 53% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 57% think they are effective. 65% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 55% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Slovakia has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, average vaccine confidence was average*. 65% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 71% thought they were effective. 75% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
