The latest data we have for Belgium is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 68% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 73% think they are effective. 74% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 71% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Belgium has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was high*. 79% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 90% thought they were effective. 94% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
