The latest data we have for Bulgaria is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 47% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 52% think they are effective. 54% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 66% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Bulgaria has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was high*. 70% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 76% thought they were effective. 79% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
