The latest data we have for Canada is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 74% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 77% think they are effective. 78% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 74% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Canada has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was high*. 85% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 85% thought they were effective. 89% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
