The latest data we have for Ecuador is from surveys conducted in 2020, which showed that 82% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 83% think they are effective. 89% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 69% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Ecuador has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was very high*. 95% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 96% thought they were effective. 99% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
