Vaccine confidence in Croatia is low* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Croatia is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 52% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 61% think they are effective. 61% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 64% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Croatia has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, average vaccine confidence was average*. 54% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 62% thought they were effective. 73% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
