The latest data we have for Liberia is from surveys conducted in 2023, which showed that 88% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 77% think they are effective. 93% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 77% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.
Confidence in vaccines in Liberia has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, average vaccine confidence was high*. 90% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 64% thought they were effective. 91% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
