Vaccine confidence in North Macedonia is high* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for North Macedonia is from surveys conducted in 2019, which showed that 69% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 76% think they are effective. 86% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 66% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in North Macedonia has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was high*. 73% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 81% thought they were effective. 85% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
