Vaccine confidence in Malta is high* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Malta is from surveys conducted in 2022, which showed that 72% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 79% think they are effective. 70% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 65% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Malta has decreased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2018, average vaccine confidence was high*. 74% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 78% thought they were effective. 87% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
