Vaccine confidence in Mexico is very high* compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Mexico is from surveys conducted in 2024, which showed that 86% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 88% think they are effective. 91% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 79% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Mexico has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, average vaccine confidence was high*. 85% of people felt that vaccines were safe and 85% thought they were effective. 88% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines.
