Vaccine confidence in Vietnam is very high1 compared to other countries. The latest data we have for Vietnam is from surveys conducted in 2022 which showed that 97% of people feel that vaccines are safe and 99% think they are effective. 97% of those surveyed said they believe it’s important for children to have vaccines and 75% feel that vaccines are compatible with their religious beliefs.

Confidence in vaccines in Vietnam has increased since the first surveys carried out there. In 2015, 78% of people felt that vaccines were safe while 94% thought they were effective. 98% said they believed it was important for children to have vaccines and 56% felt that vaccines were compatible with their religious beliefs.
